thank you Leona for the explanation of the expression Fan-Boy( or -Girl as the case may be...) It's nice to be thought of as any kind of 'boy' in one's mid thirties and with a tenuous grip on reality, which isn't perhaps helped by massive injections of Thunderbirds, Sapphire and Steel, UFO, Captain Scarlet etc. There is a great deal of pain relief to be had from fantasy tv, particularly if you're at a low point...You Go, Girl! (Why can I never get away with saying that?)
