I guess very few people wanted to be Alan because he was the youngest & part of aspiring to be someone is getting away from your current situation and I think a few lads may be treated the same way as Alan is on the show, so to want to be Scott or one of the older brothers is an obvious choice (Sorry to go psycology there)
